Ingredients
  • 2 ½ teaspoons (7 g packet) Unflavored gelatin powder
  • 2 tablespoons Cold water
  • 2 cups Heavy cream
  • 1 cup Half and half
  • ½ cup C&H® Bakers Sugar™
  • 1 teaspoon Pure vanilla extract

Prep Time: 20 minutes / Rest Time: at least 4 hours / Yields: 8 servings
Step 1

Add cold water to a small saucepan and sprinkle the gelatin powder on top. Let stand for 1-2 minutes. Heat the mixture over a very low heat until all the gelatin powder is melted. Set aside.

Step 2

In a medium saucepan, combine cream, half and half, and sugar. Bring mixture to boil over a medium-high heat. Stir the mixture until all the sugar dissolves. Remove from heat and add the gelatin mixture and vanilla.

Step 3

Evenly distribute the mixture into 8 serving cups. Cool to room temperature. Refrigerate for at least 4 hours.

Step 4

When ready to serve, top with your favorite fruit compote.
